The Spring Season is FALL's main baseball program. Typically the season kicks off at the start of November with player registration and coach selections following in early December. For the upper divisions, try-outs occur in mid January followed by a player draft. Teams are formed and announced by mid February. Field practices generally start around the beginning of March with games occurring in the months of April and May. For upper divisions, an end of season tournament will be held, wrapping up by early June.
This is F.A.L.L.’s introductory division, comprised of 5 and 6-year-old first-time players. Players utilize a batting tee and will receive their first exposure to the game, the "team" concept, and begin to learn the fundamentals of baseball. Players will be introduced to coach-pitch as well. No score is kept. Three outs per inning rule shall not apply - every kid bats per inning.
This division is comprised of 6-year old players who have participated in one year of T-Ball and 7-year old players and will utilize coaches to pitch to players. Players may use a batting tee as well. No score is kept and the emphasis is on a positive introduction to the game and teaching basic fundamentals. No score is kept. Three outs per inning rule shall not apply - every kid bats per inning.

Single A Division
This division is comprised of 7-year-old players who have prior experience, and 8- and 9-year-old players who were not drafted to a Minor AA. This division utilizes a combination of coaches and players to pitch. It is the division that introduces players to pitching for the first time. This division also focuses on the teaching of fundamentals and basic skills. For each inning, each team may bat until three (3) outs or five (5) runs are recorded, whichever occurs first. No scores or standings are kept.

Minor AA Division
The AA division is instructional, allowing for free substitution and maximum playing time. This division will consist of 8, 9 and 10-year-old players, who were drafted to this division based on a tryout. This division will focus on baseball fundamentals, position play, pitching, catching and base running. For each inning, each team may bat until three (3) outs or five (5) runs are recorded, whichever occurs first. Players league age 8 and above should attend tryouts.

Minor AAA Division
The Minor AAA Division is designed to be both instructional and competitive. The AAA division allows for free substitution and maximum playing time. The AAA Division is designed for players age 9 through 11 selected through a draft based on tryouts. Each team may bat until three (3) outs or five (5) runs are scored, whichever comes first, with the exception of the final inning (declared by umpire). In the final inning there shall be no limit to the number of runs a team may score. This is an introductory competitive division and will provide players with an opportunity to experience tournament play in the End-of-Season AAA Division tournament. Players in this division are eligible for the post-season Little League All-Star Tournament teams or may be selected to play in the annual FALL/FNLL Sportsmanship Tournament.
If an injury occurs in Majors and your son is in this division, they can be called up to play in Majors to fill that roster spot.

This division is a competitive division. Players, ages 10 through 12, are selected through tryout and draft. Two teams in this division will represent F.A.L.L. in the District 54 Tournament of Champions. Players in this division are eligible for the post season Little League All-Star Tournament teams. If drafted to the Major Division, expect a 4-5 day commitment for practices and games per week.
The minimum play time for this division is 2 defensive innings and 1 at bat per game. Depending on the players skill level. Your son/daughter may not play the whole game. It's based on the coaches decision.

Intermediate Division (50/70)
This division is a competitive division designed for 12- and 13-year-old players. Players will play on a modified baseball field using a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths. Players will be introduced to leading off, pick offs, and other baseball rules. One team will be selected from the available pool of players through a draft based on tryouts. This division will play inter-league and inter-district based on availability. Players in this division are eligible for the All-Star team.
This division is a competitive division designed for 14-year-old players and 13-year-old players who were not selected for the Intermediate division or who opted out of playing Intermediate. The Junior Division is an introduction to play on the larger, full-size baseball field. All players must try-out for placement on Junior Division teams. Teams will play inter-league games with teams from other District 54 leagues, and could possibly face some inter-district play. This division will include post-season District 54 Tournament of Champions and All-Star Tournaments.
For 14, 15 and 16-year-old players, this division will feature a competitive level of play on the full size diamond. Combined teams may form at this level if Leagues do not have enough players to form their own team. Teams will play inter-league games with teams from other District 54 leagues, and could possibly face some inter-district play. All players are eligible candidates for the post season All-Star Tournament team. If necessary, players will be contacted for tryouts at a later date. Senior Division play commences after the High School season ends.
For 16, 17 and 18-year-old players, this division will feature a competitive level of play on the full size diamond. This is typically a District (not Local League) run Program. Teams will play inter-district games with teams from other District's in the greater Sacramento Region. All players are eligible candidates for the post season All-Star Tournament team. If necessary, players will be contacted for tryouts at a later date.
