NEW USA BASEBALL BAT STANDARD EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2018 – TRYOUTS, PRACTICES, GAMES
With the new USA Baseball Bat Standard now in effect starting January 1, 2018, the only bats allowed for use at any Little League-related activities including Tryouts, Practices and Games, are those that adhere to the USABat standard and all bats must be marked with the USABat label in order to be used in Little League Baseball®. NO EXCEPTIONS
All bats previously approved for use in Little League Play (Junior League Baseball and below) and marked with the BFP 1.15, will NOT be permitted to be used in any Little League activities, including practices or games.
FALL will be providing approved bats at Tryouts this year to ensure that players in attendance do not need to worry about having a new USA bat by our Tryout dates. Please DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN BAT as FALL volunteers will not be able to check individual bats to ensure they meet the new standard either before or during Tryouts. However, once FALL practices begin, ALL players are responsible for providing their own approved bats that meet the new USA Baseball Bat Standard.
