Manager & Coach Safety Training

Managers & coaches are encouraged to read the District 54 Safety Clinic Outline PDF prior to watching the webinar and to use it as a reference.

Managers AND coaches are required to attend a Safety Meeting prior to on field practices. The League will provide training every year in February prior to schedules being released. If you do not attend the Safety meeting you will be required to go to a district training at a later date. Schedules are not released until Safety training requirements are met.

Managers and coaches are also required to do the following online trainings:

Online Concussion Training, through CDC Heads Up
Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) Prevention Training, via Eric Paredes Save a Life Foundation
Child Protection Program Training (through SafeSport): "Abuse Awareness for Adults," see instructions to access this training below.

Sign into your account at USABDevelops.com. Hover over the Education tab, select "Course Catalog."
This should take you to https://usamobilecoach.com/courses; sign in again (you will only do this once).
From here, you may take any course.
To access certificates, log in to USABMobileCoach.com and select your name in top right corner.
Click "My Courses" and select "Courses" option.

Little League Diamond Leader training: there is currently one course available (supplement courses are being developed). Access the training at https://www.littleleague.org/diamondleader/. Either create a new account or login to complete the training (blue buttons after 2nd paragraph on the page).

Managers and coaches are also responsible for adhering to the below league COVID guidelines throughout the season. Questions or concerns with the implementation of these guidelines can be discussed with the league Safety Officer at [email protected].

Manager Selection Process

Want to be a Little League manager? The selection process starts with prospective managers registering as a Head Coach for the current season. Prospective managers will be interviewed by the FALL Board of Directors. The number of teams needed in each division is then determined based on player registration and the FALL Board of Directors will choose managers for each division.

Check the Events tab on the Home page for important dates if you are interested in becoming a manager for a FALL team.
